May I suggest a way to put together a great CD to celebrate the 4th of July? First, call the Paralyzed Veterans of America at 800/555-9140 and ask for the patriotic CD they've put together. They'll send it to you for free, but I can't think of an organization more worthy of our support than this one.
Then pull those songs over to iTunes (or whatever medium you use) and choose the selections you'd like for your customized CD. To that, I added the following, which you can purchase at the iTunes store (and you may have other favorites you want to include as well):
1) "God Bless America" by Kate Smith (of course!)
2) "God Bless the U.S.A." by Lee Greenwood (of course!)
3) "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" by Mac Frampton (awesome!)
4) "American Again" by Carman
Being from the South, I also couldn't resist throwing in "The Legend of the Rebel Soldier" by The Country Gentleman. While I was at it, I included "Country Roads" by The Country Gentlemen.
After you get your CD all put together, play it on your computer with Windows Media Player to get some out-of-this-world visual effects.
Enjoy!!!
